Job Description:
SUMMARY: The IT Manager oversees the Information Services Department including projects, policies, and overall direction. This includes managing developers as well as general IT support personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Leverage a ticketing system to ensure issues are properly assigned and prioritized.
- Ensure that after-hours and weekend support is covered by the ISD team.
- Communicate with plant leadership to understand production priorities.
- Coordinate the overall direction and timing of ISD projects.
- Lead the recruitment, training and development of ISD team members.
- Meet regularly with team members to discuss goals and active projects.
- Prepare and present the ISD long term budget and business plan.
- Facilitate weekly meetings to help promote collaboration.
- Manage relationships with third party suppliers.
- Review and approve system security and risk management solutions and plans.
- Identify outside source and participate in third party audits.
- Track financial performance and expenses relative to the ISD Business Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A general knowledge of IT systems including basic networking (route/switch), virtualization, and backup strategies.
- An understanding of both software development and hardware project lifecycles.
- A college business degree and at least 5 years of managerial experience are required.
- A Masters’ degree is preferred.
